About Bill Barnett - Consultant Engineering / Legal Representative

The proprietor of the Archway Garage, William Barnett, is a member of the society of Expert Witnesses and The Institute of the Motor Industry, acting as a technical expert to the Independent Panel of Arbitrators. He has been commissioned to fulfill this role for over 15 years, advising on over seven hundred cases.

These cases have involved issues arising from the sale, servicing and repair of all types of motor vehicles. In addition, he has carried out detailed inspections of motor vehicles on behalf of the Concilliation Service and individual arbitrators.

Many other instructions have been received over the years from Fiat, Honda, Suzuki, Sussex Police, County Courts, Solicitors, and Trading Standards. These have included acting as a single joint expert on mechanical, bodywork and forensic enquiries covering mainly the South East of England but also others further afield.

Instructions from non-franchise garages and private clients are always welcome and are undertaken on enquiry.
